Who is responsible
Mitos is run by Stephen Paterson, who is the controller of your personal data. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect, and why
- Beta requests. When you ask to join the beta: your work email, name, company, country, role and AV networking experience; and, if you choose to give them, the platforms, switches and drawing tools you use, your team size, what you'd want Mitos to do, and whether you're happy to have a call. We also record which page or button brought you to the form, and when you agreed to the beta terms and this notice. We use this to decide on beta places, which the Mitos team does by hand, and to understand who we're building for. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- Beta profile. If your request is approved, your answers are copied to your account so we can tell which feedback comes from which kind of user. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- Calls about your feedback. Only if you tick the box. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- News about Mitos. If your request can't be accepted yet, we send you one email saying so. We only email you again if you click keep me informed in that email, and every later email has an unsubscribe link. Lawful basis: consent.
- Account details (name, email, organisation, sign-in method): to provide your account. Lawful basis: contract.
- Feedback and support messages you send us. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- Shared drawings: only if you create a share link, a read-only copy until you revoke it. Lawful basis: contract.
What we don't collect
Your designs are never uploaded (unless you share one). We don't sell personal data, use advertising trackers or build marketing profiles. No decision about you is made automatically: every beta request is read by a person.
Who processes data for us
- Clerk: sign-in, accounts and beta invitations (United States).
- Cloudflare: website delivery, security and the bot check on the beta form (global network).
- Hetzner: hosting; beta requests are stored on our server in Germany.
- Resend: sending service emails, such as the reply to a beta request.
Where data is processed outside the UK, we rely on adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
- Beta requests waiting for a decision: up to 90 days, then deleted.
- Requests we couldn't accept, or put on hold: deleted after 6 months. If you asked to be kept informed, we keep only your name and email until you unsubscribe.
- Approved requests become part of your account and are deleted with it.
- Account data: while your account is open and for up to 30 days after closure.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent, by emailing [email protected]. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect anything done before. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
We use only cookies needed for signing in and security, including Cloudflare's bot check on the beta form. No advertising cookies.
